Event Details
SibsCARE offers several in-person and virtual events throughout the year. We recognize the importance of ongoing connection and the impact of grief on daily life for bereaved siblings. All of our groups are coordinated and facilitated by trained grief support professionals who prioritize creating a safe environment for children and teens to share their experiences. School-age siblings (5-11) are welcome to join our monthly virtual connections group. Information about in-person events will be sent throughout the year as events are scheduled and planned. If you would like to receive information about the virtual connections group and upcoming events, please email our team at uncchildrenssiblings@unchealth.unc.edu.

Seasons to Remember is an annual gathering to support families and loved ones who have lost a child treated at UNC Children's.
We understand that the impact of losing a child is profound. This event is designed to offer support, connection, and reflection through seasons of grief. As we embrace the idea that grief transforms over time much like the changing of seasons, we invite you to join us on this journey of remembrance. Our interdisciplinary team is dedicated to creating a safe space for you to reconnect with yourself, honor your enduring connection with your child, and find solace in connecting with other families who share a similar grief experience.
Our sessions are crafted to reflect on the transformative journey of healing. Led by our compassionate team, these sessions are tailored to meet the specific needs of bereaved parents and siblings.
